Portada del Convento de Santa Clara

This monastery, which disappeared after the disentailment of Mendizábal, remained standing until a few decades ago. After its demolition to make way for the current construction, only what was the convent’s compass and the façade of the church remain. It is a Baroque façade from the 18th century, with two lateral pilasters and a large central arch crowned by an entablature and a curved split pediment, with tiles dedicated to the Immaculate Conception and other decorative details in Sevillian ceramics.

It is located in the current Plaza de Nuestra Señora de la Amargura.
